Contender Gaming

Through the past month or so, many of our users have noticed a decline in the activity and uptime of the site. This is due to our staff focusing on the “behind the scenes” production of Contender Gaming. I’d like to assure everyone that we are still working on Contender Gaming every day. As we have stated before, our site is still in beta and we have not begun our major advertising campaigns which will take place after we release the website in full.

Hello everyone and welcome to another CG Update! As our site continues to grow, we are now in search of some gaming writers and editors for our media division. Our goal is to create Contender Gaming into a multipurpose community where not only can gamers win great prizes for competing, but they can also catch up on the latest gaming news. Our plan is to begin hiring such positions immediately, so if you are interested please read the requirements below.

Hello Gamers! The season is starting to come to an end and playoff time is about to begin. At the end of April the top 8-16 teams on each ladder will be able to compete. The number of playoff teams is dependent upon the activity of the ladder. So to guarantee you will be included in the first ever Contender Gaming playoffs, do your best to make sure you are in the top 8.

Hello community! Through the recent days, some of our European players have experienced a time zone bug within our system. This was due to a glitch in our PHP coding that deals with our dedicated servers to help determine a users time zone. Due to this glitch, each user is going to have to re-select their timezone (which is explained at the bottom of thie article). To summarize the issue, the system was causing users to post a match an hour in advance of the time they wished for.

Since it’s the beginning of the month, the Contender Gaming Prize House has been updated with new prizes for members to win. For those who are unfamiliar with how the system works, each month Contender Gaming takes a portion of its revenue and buys prizes for gamers to trade in their premium points. There are a couple ways gamers can win premium points.

Contender Gaming will be bringing on about 15-25 more staff members through the coming weeks. This increase in staff level is due to the new features we are bringing to the system, which include tournaments. We are committed to bringing our community the best support.
